Dear Bill,

Greetings from Los Angeles!

At 9 days and counting, we would like to share
Forum UPDATES with all of our current registrants.  Here's the latest news on attendance, weather reporting, pre- and post-conference logistics, Hilton rooms, and presentation previews.  Our final notice next week will include attendance updates, links to maps, parking instructions, dress code suggestions, and information on Forum sales offers, including DVD sets, books, and "In2:IN ActionWear."

ATTENDANCE
Our Forum Team is moving into the final stages of preparation, with our attendance now at 106.  Another 20 to 30 are anticipated.   As with prior years, we have attendees joining in from across the United States.   And, we have confirmations from three international participants, traveling from England and Russia.

BADGES
This year's badge design incorporates the water color artwork provided to us by Navneet Mezzciani, our 2009 Forum artist.  Your first name will be printed in large font, with your last name in smaller font beneath it.  Your first name will appear on the badge as it appears above in the greeting.  Please let us know (registrar) if you would like to change the way your first name appears and we'll make the needed change.

WEATHER
Southern California weather is expected to hold steady, with mild temperatures expected to continue, highs in the 70's (F, or 21C) and lows in the 50's (F, or 10C), with the sun shining.  Yes, along with Randy Newman, "We Love LA."

OPENING WELCOME & PRE-CONFERENCE SESSIONS
In a tradition we've maintained since our fourth year (2005), we open the Forum's pre-conference sessions with continental breakfast (from 7-8am), followed by our BEGINNING TOGETHER session (8-9am) in which we renew acquaintances with past attendees and welcome new attendees.  Please plan to arrive early and join in for the pre-conference sessions, all to be held at Pratt & Whitney Rocketdyne's offices at 6633 Canoga Avenue in Canoga Park.

POST-CONFERENCE SESSIONS
In addition to planning for next week's weather, one change of note from previous years is the location of the post conference sessions.  For the second time, they will be held at California State University Northridge (also known as CSUN), which is located 7 miles northeast of the Hilton Woodland Hills.   Room assignments at CSUN, plus for all pre-conference seminars and workshops within Pratt & Whitney Rocketdyne, will be announced in our final pre-Forum announcement next week.

HILTON ROOMS, TRAVEL PLANS, AND LOCAL TRANSPORTATION
Rooms at the Hilton Woodland Hills, our Forum hotel, are still available.   Ask for our Forum special rate of $89 per night, which has been recently reduced from $109.  This rate is available until April 16th.  Check our logistical resources link for assistance with hotel reservations as well as travel planning.
